Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an electronics technician for the Navy, where you'll test and inspect complex systems on ships, provide expert advice on repairs, and analyze ways to improve maintenance and operations.
It's ideal for someone with hands-on experience in electronics and mechanical systems, especially in a military or fleet environment, who enjoys solving technical problems and preparing detailed reports.
A good fit would be a detail-oriented engineer or technician with at least a year of relevant specialized work.
You will serve as a Electronics Technician in the Engineering Department of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge and understanding of electrical, electronics, hydraulic, structural and mechanical systems ancillary to or supporting the equipment and; 2) Providing technical assistance, voyage repair, readiness assessment coordination, quality assurance compliance, engineering and technical services, technical documentation management and program management across a fleet and; 3) Working with technical services such as AEGIS (SPY) systems and associated equipment/systems.
