This job involves leading a team of technicians who work on the complex electronic systems in military aircraft, such as navigation and flight controls, by installing, repairing, and maintaining these integrated setups.

This ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER position, is located at an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance or Maintenance Squadron, Avionics Element or Shop or Communications/Navigation/ECM, Guidance and Control, ECM Pod or Test Station shop that supports aircraft and is part of the CA 144 FW.
General Experience: Must possess experience in duties such as, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes.
ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2610-13: In addition to the journeyman level experience, must have at least 24 months of leading three or more employees to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions; Experience in performing on-or-off equipment maintenance on one-or-more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on systems such as automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems; Experience in performing in-process inspections within the shop and on-site of repair, diagnostics, modification, overhaul and/or rebuild of integrated electronic systems and related support equipment; Experience in performing personnel training evaluations and work spot-check reviews; Experience in identifying quality standards through detailed reviews of electronic, electrical, mechanical and operational by using inspection methods.

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2610-13, is to lead three or more employees who install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
The worker in this career field must also possess the ability to perform on-or-off equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems.
May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
