Summary

This job involves helping people over the phone who are applying for Medicaid-funded long-term care services, such as answering calls, making outbound calls, and keeping track of application lists in a centralized intake office.

This position is located in EEMS Centralized Intake, Richland County.

Are you the One? We are looking for an EEMS Centralized Intake Assistant ,who will complete intake activities for applicants seeking Medicaid sponsored long-term care services.
  • Assists callers by answering the Centralized Intake phone lines and placing outbound calls. Displays professionalism and courtesy to callers.
  • Monitor and maintain CLTC processing list.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities.

Requirements

A high school diploma and clerical or paraprofessional experience involving the compilation of data and statistics.

A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Additional Requirements:

Sitting or standing for long periods of time. Qualifications Strong knowledge of and ability to use personal computer. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Considerable knowledge of data preparation for computerized application. Data entry skills required.

Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying office practices and procedures. Ability to schedule and organize work flow. Analytical ability.
