Basic Qualifications: Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
or Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above.
In addition to the basic qualification requirement above: Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service.
For this position, specialized experience is defined as working in a museum or other cultural organization, creating and managing innovative school programs for K-12 school audiences.

The Education Specialist contributes to and develops academic research, exhibitions, public programs, educational programs and publications.
In this position, you will: Create and manage innovative school programs, experiences, and curriculum for K-12 student audiences. Develop partnerships with teachers, schools, and school systems.
Maintain high level of connectivity, communication, and coordination. Hire, supervise, train, and schedule educators.
