Full Job Description

This position is located in the Food and Beverage Division of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL.

The incumbent is to perform a combination and variety of duties to facilitate proper usage, good order and proper customer relations in and around the facility or event.

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.

Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preferred knowledge of Navy and MWR policies, regarding club operations, crowd control, alcohol and fire/emergency procedures.

Must a have 3 months or more customer service work experience You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Major Duties:

Provide general information and answers patron questions in a pleasant and tactful fashion. Verifies the identification of all individuals entering the facility or event.

Patrols the facility and adjacent grounds, circulating among patrons and guests to maintain good order and to prevent damage to the facility or its equipment.

Advises patrons when they are in violation of infractions of the facility rules or regulations. Assist as necessary in patron control or apprehension when appropriate.

In some cases, may tactfully remove offenders from the facility, using force as necessary. May call NAS Pensacola Security for assistance as required.

Ensures that authorized patrons and guests use the assigned areas as applicable. Checks the facility for security, safety of fire hazards.

Reports fires or fire hazards and may use fire extinguishers to put out small fires. Performs first aid in the event of an accident and calls the medical facility for assistance when necessary.

Assures that all fire exits are functional during hours of operation and properly secured at the close of business. Maintains all necessary logs. Relieves other Host Personnel as appropriate.

Performs other duties as assigned.
