Job Description
Summary
This job involves working as a direct support professional at a residential center, helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with daily personal care, teaching life skills, and ensuring their safety and well-being in a supportive home-like setting.

Key Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (or equivalent education)
- Ability to provide personal care assistance, including hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting
- Skills in coaching, teaching, and mentoring to promote independence and daily living skills
- Proficiency in documenting care, reporting changes in condition or behavior, and following regulations to prevent abuse or neglect
- Capability to transport residents to appointments and activities, and support those with complex care needs
- Washington State Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (preferred but not required)

- Accompany and transport residents to on- and off-campus appointments and recreational activities.
- Accurately document care provided and report any changes in condition or behavior.

Who should apply?
- Professionals with a High School Diploma/GED OR one year of experience working with people with Intellectual/developmental Disabilities.
- An existing Washington State Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus but not required.
Evening and Night shifts include a shift differential in addition to the standard compensation rate.
Opportunities performed on site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
