This job involves overseeing and improving programs that help refugees and immigrants settle in Washington state by checking that community partners follow rules, conducting site visits, analyzing data, and recommending fixes to ensure services like housing, job training, and health care are effective.
It's a senior role focused on quality control and compliance in a supportive government office.
A good fit would be someone detail-oriented with experience in policy analysis and working with diverse groups who enjoys travel and collaboration to make a real difference in people's lives.
Join the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), in a position that protects the integrity of services for immigrant and refugee families and individuals as they build new lives in Washington state.
The Office of Refugee and Immigrant Assistance (ORIA) leads statewide efforts to support people arriving and resettling here, by ensuring their basic needs are met, and by providing opportunities to support their social and economic integration.
Working with more than 125 community partners across the state, ORIA oversees programs that provide housing, health care, mental health support, employment services, English classes, foster care for unaccompanied youth, help with citizenship and so much more.
As the state’s lead for refugee resettlement, ORIA ensures that services meet both immediate needs and long-term goals, helping families gain stability, opportunity, and a true sense of belonging in their new communities.
As ORIA's Monitoring and Quality Assurance Specialist, you will provide senior level professional analysis on the implementation of our client services programs that support refugees and immigrants.
These programs range from English classes and job training to foster care, health care, and mental health support.
You’ll make sure our partners follow federal and state requirements and regulations, and you’ll help improve programs by identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
