Requirements

In this position, you will supervise a small clerical unit assigned to perform moderately complex clerical tasks and operate mailroom equipment.

Your work will involve assigning tasks, explaining work methods and procedures, and demonstrating operations of mail and office equipment.

You will resolve employees’ complaints or grievances, as well as provide employees with time and attendance counseling.

Some of your duties will include sorting and distributing mail, collecting internal mail, and compiling monthly reports of postage usage and costs.

Additionally, you will act as the Fleet Dispatcher by ensuring vehicles are operating properly, scheduling maintenance, completing necessary reports when accidents occur, and operating motor vehicles.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Travel and overtime as needed.
  • Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
