The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is seeking a Driver License Examiner Assistant for its Lehigh County Driver License Center.
This role supports PennDOT’s mission to promote highway safety by assisting customers at the service counter and carefully reviewing identity documents to prevent fraud and identity theft.

The Driver License Examiner Assistant supports daily operations at the Driver License Center by greeting customers, verifying identification, assisting with applications, and entering information into online systems.
The employee provides forms and informational materials as needed. The employee administers knowledge tests and conducts vision screenings using a telebinocular instrument.
Test results and application data are entered into online systems.
The employee answers customer questions and must understand all services offered, including requirements for REAL ID and non-REAL ID products.
The employee assists with renewals, duplicates, out-of-state transfers, motorcycle licensing, and CDL services, including related restrictions and endorsements.
The employee prepares Restoration Requirements Letters, applies fee waiver codes correctly, and follows all Customer Service Policies, REAL ID regulations, and Title VI requirements.
The employee issues and scans the DL-160 form when required and performs other related duties as assigned.
