THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a DOCTRINE TRAINING & FORCE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, Position Description Number D2947000 and is part of the CO JFHQ J3, National Guard.
Military Grades: E-8 thru O-4 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 18 months of experience in each of the following: 1.
Experience in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. 2.
Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. 3.
Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures.
4. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Major Duties:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Doctrine, Training, and Force Development Officer.
Functions as the JFHQ-State principal staff officer in the areas of joint force development; supporting operational planning; joint doctrine; education and professional military development; staff training; exercises; and assessment.
Serves as the primary staff officer for developing joint integration plans, joint training, joint professional military education and exercise programs, and to develop the action plans to implement approved joint strategies for the department.
Provides JFHQ-State input to Combatant Commander's war plans, with emphasis on homeland defense/homeland security.
Develops and issues pertinent policies and training budget directives to enable effective planning at the unit level.
Reviews budget estimates and requests and requires periodic reports to identify expenditures and current status to ensure proper management and control of funds are being exercised.
Represents the J-7 in dealing with a variety of state and National Guard functional area organizations. Performs other duties as assigned.
