Full Job Description

INTERNAL POSTING
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness is a key leadership position responsible for guiding and coordinating the assessment process for the college, as well as serving as the SACSCOC Institutional Liaison and supporting program-specific accreditations. The Director works closely with the President, Vice Presidents, and Assistant Vice Presidents on matters related to accreditation accountability, including programmatic assessment, program review, internal surveys, and data analysis. The position will develop, manage, and interpret institutional data to support planning, assessment, and decision-making.

Institutional Research- Leads the College's Institutional research functions by directing and coordinating college-wide assessment and evaluation.

Data Reporting- Supervises the preparation of data for and serves as the College's point of contact for reports to the federal government, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC}, Commission on Higher Education (CHE), the SC Technical College System (SCTCS), and other external reporting agencies. Manages software database housing Unit Plans, Student Learning Outcomes, General Education Outcomes, and Program Reviews. Oversees related programming responsibilities such as Colleague Curriculum Management, Self-Service programming, and Dynamic Forms associated with IE functions.

Accreditation- Serves as the College's SACSCOC liaison. Provides data support for academic programs with programmatic accreditation.

Evaluations- Directs the College's survey research programs ensuring the design, administration, data­ entry, and data analysis of the College's campus and community surveys meet institutional needs.

Management- Manages and directs Institutional Effectiveness staff members and manages the department's annual budget.

Grants - Facilitates and submits grant applications, both block and competitive, including Perkins; provides grant oversight and ensures on-time reporting.

College Involvement - Performs other related duties as assigned by the VP for Academic Affairs which may include attending the College's Curriculum Committee meetings and other faculty/administrative meetings; presents findings, recommendations.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and relevant program management experience.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible related work experience, including but not limited to Institutional Research, SACSCOC accreditation, assessment and evaluation preferred.

Ability to plan, organize, and direct administrative and support activities. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, SCTCS, CHE, SACSCOC, and other agencies. Knowledge of research and statistical methods, inferential statistics, compilation analysis and presentation of statistical and research data, computers and computer application software, and academic/instructional analysis.
