Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a Navy lab focused on submarine operations in the Arctic, where you'll manage training programs, budgets, and teams to prepare submarines for icy, challenging environments.
It's ideal for someone with deep experience in submarine missions and leadership who can make smart decisions to improve fleet readiness in cold regions.
You'll oversee staff, plan long-term strategies, and ensure everyone gets the right skills for these specialized operations.
You will serve as DIRECTOR, ARCTIC SUBMARINE LABORATORY (ASL) in the Command Staff of UNDERSEA WAR FIGHTING DEVELOPMENT CENTER.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience in program management, Navy budget development and execution, submarine operations, Navy training and qualification programs, fleet exercise coordination, and a combination of submarine sensor employment and NAVSEA material configuration requirements.
*Experience supervising and managing shore command programs, infrastructures, and resources.
*Experience applying knowledge of submarine Arctic operations to make creative decisions and significant recommendations that effect positive changes and development to support critical mission requirements.
*Experience developing and interpreting guidance in the area of submarine fleet operations in Arctic.
