Job Description
Summary
This job involves reviewing and processing annual reports for profit and nonprofit corporations, as well as limited liability companies, to ensure they meet legal standards.
It also includes managing renewals and restorations for these businesses from start to finish.
A good fit would be someone with experience in administrative support, attention to detail, and customer service skills, ideally with a background in business filings or regulatory work.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- One year of administrative support experience equivalent to Departmental Technician 7-level for entry
- One year of experience at 8-level or as a technician/paraprofessional for mid-level (8)
- One year supervisory experience at 9-level, or two years as technician/paraprofessional with one year intermediate for senior (E9)
- Substitution: Two years college (60 credits) for DT7 experience; Bachelor's degree for DT8; Bachelor's plus one year related experience for E9
- Ability to handle customer inquiries and process documents accurately
- Knowledge of corporation and LLC filing requirements under state acts
Full Job Description
Examine profit and nonprofit corporation annual reports; examine annual statements and annual reports for limited liability companies, and inclusive documents to determine if they substantially conform to requirements of the act. Handle corporation renewals and limited liability company restorations from initial customer inquiry through filing of required documents.

Requirements
Education
Education typically acquired through completion of high school
Experience
Departmental Technician 7
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
Departmental Technician 8
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
Departmental Technician E9
One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR
Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
Qualifications
Departmental Technician 7
Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician 8
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician E9
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
