Job Description

Summary

This job involves acting as a regional project manager for public transportation providers in northern Michigan, offering hands-on support to transit agencies with funding applications, contract management, and required reports.

This position functions as regional project manager in an assigned geographic area for providers of public transportation.

Provide direct, on-site assistance to transit agencies with respect to applications, contract administration, and reporting.

Provide oversight of capital and operating contracts, including compliance with state and federal regulations.


The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (9) level through the maximum rate at the advanced (12) level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10
One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Departmental Analyst 12
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Qualifications

Departmental Analyst 9 - 12 

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
