This job is for a Database Administrator 2 in Pennsylvania's government IT team, where you'll design, manage, and secure complex databases that support web applications for state agencies.

As a Database Administrator 2, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of complex database systems supporting web-based applications for Commonwealth agencies.
Work involves developing and reviewing data models, ensuring efficient and secure database structures, and leveraging Microsoft SQL Server to deliver reliable data solutions.
You will be responsible for overseeing data population and migration activities, including writing and reviewing scripts, managing data integration across systems, and resolving complex data issues.
You will also have the opportunity to provide technical guidance to users and IT staff, establishing database standards, and supporting development through stored procedures and SQL programming.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office at minimum 2 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
