About The Work Unit:

The Office of Operations provides support for the business operations of CDPHE, including oversight of department- wide and business-focused technology functions, occupancy of leased space, budget and financial operations, and legal and regulatory compliance.


What You Will Be Doing:

This position is the Department Data and Technology Governance Manager.

The position manages the ongoing Data and Technology Governance activities for the Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) / Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) to ensure alignment with the Northstar Architecture (scalable, flexible, interoperable, sustainable, reusable, intuitive).


The position participates in quality assurance / quality improvement (QA/QI) of modernized public health infrastructure and data.

The position works closely with the Public Health Data Modernization Initiatives Manager and the Business Technology Product Deputy Director to manage development and implementation of the Data Governance Framework at CDPHE.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Six (6) years of relevant experience in technology or data management, technology administration, information technology.


OR


Education and Experience:

A combination of related education (public administration, business administration, computer science or information technology) and/or relevant experience in technology or data management, technology administration, information technology equal to six (6) years

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior government / public sector experience in a medium - large size agency (1000 - 2500 or more staff).

  2. Experience developing and writing technical or policy manuals, or standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  3. Experience managing or supporting data management or governance initiatives related to data infrastructure

  4. Experience with technology related change management implementation

  5. Experience supporting strategic business decisions that impact multiple stakeholders

  6. Experience creating and supporting data system training methods

  7. Experience performing partner or stakeholder outreach

  8. Experience scheduling and facilitating meetings

  9. Experience managing or supporting quality assurance initiatives related to data

  10. ESRI ArcGIS, Tableau and other data visualization platforms

  11. Familiarity with data analytics platforms

  12. Experience with data warehouses or data lakes

  13. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI / ML)
