About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f.

Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

This position is located at the Fort Meade, Maryland. CYBER EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITIONS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE TWO-PAGE RESUME LIMIT.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by providing guidance and in-depth analysis on cyberspace program strategy, plans and policy; leading efforts to document, evaluate, and improve work processes; experience managing process and procedures, including planning, cost estimation and analysis, budgeting, and contract administration.

Major Duties:

  • Manage the JCMO’s development of responses to high-priority/high-visibility taskings to ensure available SME resources are applied optimally to ensure timely achievement of performance objectives.
  • Oversee team members’ use of the Workload Management System (WMS) to capture, document and disseminate information on action items and other time-sensitive tasking to JCMO components and other cyberspace program partners.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and facilitation for the JCMO’s collaboration on substantive cyber program issues within the JCMO, as well as with other Command elements and external partners.
  • Coordinate development and contribute to JCMO leader program briefings and Commander’s Mission Briefing. Lead preparations for and facilitates senior-level discussions among the JCMO’s, Command’s executives and external program partners.
  • Provide oversight and support for supporting Command directorates’ efforts to define and validate contractual requirements in support of JCMO’s operations.
  • Determine, documents, and justify the personnel, equipment, and travel resources required to implement the proposed JCMO strategy, plans, and policy program initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in developing, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating new approaches to improving capabilities and resource integration strategies, policies and methods to better support the program and mission.
  • Exercise delegated authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds for administrative budgets.
