This job is for a custodial worker at a Navy recreation club in Pensacola, Florida, where you'll clean and maintain facilities like floors, bathrooms, and common areas to keep the space welcoming for service members and their families.

This position is assigned to the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Recreation operation; Fleet Readiness (N92); Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Portside Club aboard NAS Pensacola.

Ability to work safely while moving lightweight objects. Ability to use powered equipment and perform minor maintenance on this equipment.
Ability to learn Material Safety Data Sheets You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Major Duties:
Performs one or more of the following duties: Scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using heavy powered scrubbers and buffers. Vacuum cleans rugs, using heavy vacuum cleaner.
Adjusts, cleans, and oils these machines and changes brushes, rollers, buffers, and other attachments on them.
Washes and replaces venetian blinds, changes light bulbs and washes ceiling fixtures and room partitions, using ladders and scaffolds. Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment.
In living quarters, makes beds, changes linens and collects soiled linen. Keeps restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
Cleans disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls. Cleans mirrors, sinks and water fountains. Dust ledges and woodwork. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels, and soap.
Maintains a stock of cleaning materials and equipment and notifes supervisor when more are needed. Performs other duties as required.
