South Mountain Restoration Center is seeking motivated, reliable candidates to perform a variety of tasks in the custodial care of institutional buildings and surrounding grounds in order to provide a clean, sanitary, and attractive environment.
We are Located in the beautiful mountains near Michaux State Forest, South Mountain Restoration Center is a Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing Home Facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Requirements
Work involves the use of custodial supplies and cleaning materials and operation and care of equipment and machines according to established procedures and safe practices outlined in the Environmental Services Department Procedure Manual. As a Custodial Worker, you will be assigned to work in areas as directed by manager or supervisor and perform a variety of cleaning and housekeeping tasks including mopping and dusting, operating manual and mechanical equipment following operating instructions, polishing furniture, washing walls, replenishing supplies, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, and moving and lifting furniture and equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rotating on and off duty days including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime as needed

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications:- Willingness to work in Franklin County, Pennsylvania
- Previous custodial, janitor, or cleaning experience
- Experience as a custodial or housekeeping in the following areas or settings (Experience might include working in such areas as hospital, nursing home, correctional facility, fast food, cafeteria, or school.)
- Experience collecting and disposing of infectious waste into proper storage areas
- Experience removing snow, trash and debris from sidewalks and entrance ways
- Experience using and mixing chemicals or solvents
- Experience using manual or power equipment to mop, scrub, sweep, strip, wax and buff floors
- Experience in the following tasks: operating floor scrubbing machine, use of ladders to clean high areas, proper handling of cleaning chemicals, interacting with patients/residents, snow removal from walkways and entrances, changing light bulbs, cleaning furniture, mopping (wet or dry mop) and scrubbing
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
