This role assists in multiple services for individuals who may need additional help and performs clerical duties to support staff. Requirements

County Social Services Case Aide 1 works in conjunction with assigned staff to provide a variety of services to individuals, which may include supervision of children during office visits, contacting individuals who fail to keep appointments, assisting with everyday activities, and home maintenance and care.

You will assist staff and managers by advising them of an individual's needs, updating them on progress made, and goals achieved.

While in the office, incumbents will greet clients and visitors, identify needs, and contact appropriate staff.

This role performs data entry to enter and maintain client information, receives and transfers phone calls, and creates various reports as assigned.

You will assist with daily record retention, such as sorting, verifying and scanning documents.

This position will have the opportunity to assist with community outreach events including setting-up, organizing, and interacting with individuals. Additional duties involve:

  • Sorting incoming/outgoing mail and placing in appropriate staff mailboxes
  • Sorting incoming faxes and sending to appropriate staff
  • Using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Taking meeting minutes for various departments when needed.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position may offer some off hours and weekend work.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Beaver County. If no eligible candidates who live within Beaver County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
