As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson, you will perform and oversee advanced manufacturing work in the production and processing of braille and optical products.
You will instruct, train, and supervise inmates in best practices, methods, and procedures as well as provide demonstrations, explanations, and feedback during training and work assignments.
You will also oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of tools and equipment.
This role requires the ability to establish effective working relationships and strong communication skills to ensure inmates learn the standard principles used to manufacture high-quality optical products and services.
In addition, you will evaluate all inmate work assignments, maintain training progress reports, and make recommendations to improve output efficiency.
