The State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Huntingdon is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Corrections Automotive Mechanic Trade Instructor to share their skills with inmates to help them learn a trade while they are incarcerated.

In this position, you will provide structed on-the-job training and shop instruction in the automotive mechanic trade for inmates.
Your work will involve closely supervising inmates during classroom training and work assignments.
During your time instructing, you will be responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates throughout their training and work assignments.
Work will be received in the form of work orders which may be accompanied by diagrams, charts, sketches, and schematics.
You will independently determine procedures, tools, equipment, and materials to be used by inmates in carrying out assignments.
Additionally, you will issue and inventory all materials and tools used, as well as conduct searches to account for all materials and tools.
