We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated person with construction and maintenance experience to work as Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 3.

By acting as a leader in the Bureau of Operations, you will help us maintain and aid the maintenance of facilities within DOC. Apply today and take on a challenge while using your skills!

Requirements

In this position, you will coordinate the planning, design, and processes for DOC facility construction and renovation projects.

Your work will include attending conference and meetings, inspecting site work and contract documents, and serving as a liaison between Commonwealth staff and outside contractors.

You will advise facility management staff in the implementation of all building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance and repair.

Some of your duties will include participating in preliminary planning, developing budgetary estimates, reviewing design documents, and coordinating resources.

Additionally, you will manage institutional projects utilizing inmate work crews engaged in maintenance, construction, and emergency repair tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Work Location: 1920 Technology Parkway in Mechanicsburg, PA. Consideration will be given to an alternative SCI location if requested and available.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. If work location is approved within an SCI. This will not be applicable if reporting to DOC Central Office.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Facility Maintenance Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of experience as a Utilities Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Seven years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including four years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
