The Department of Corrections is seeking an energetic and motivated Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 2 to join our team.

In this role, you will help guide our staff in the maintenance of our facilities and construction projects.

Requirements

In this position, you will provide supervisory oversight to facility maintenance and trades staff in the performance of routine and specialized maintenance, construction, and repair tasks.

Your work will involve supporting the Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 1 in assigning work orders and duties to Trades Instructors and Maintenance Foreman.

You will check work progress and solve problems that arise.

Some of your duties will include planning projects, projecting the cost of materials, and ensuring contractors have the necessary clearance checks.

You will also assign performance standards and review employee work performance bi-annually.

Additionally, you will make periodic tours of all units and buildings to inspect areas for safety procedures are being followed and make necessary corrections.

You will also be a emergency responder to facility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience as a Utilities Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Seven years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including three years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
