You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Qualifying Experience: This is an entry level position and no minimum qualifications are required for this position.
Previous knowledge of food preparation and operation and cleaning of food service equipment is desired.
This is a Developmental Job Position in which incumbent will show progressive knowledge in the duties and responsibilities and complete training within 3 months of hiring, and when a mastery of the duties is shown the incumbent will be promoted to the Cook, NA-04 position.
Major Duties:
Physical Effort: Continual standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending.
Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally lifts or moves objects weighing over 40 pounds with assistance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing.
Prepares convenience items, some cooks at this level prepare and bake pizza. Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, etc.
Weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular menu items; sets up and replenishes salad bar; portions foods for distribution and meal service. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment.
