Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

This position is in Office of Finance and Administration, Office of the Chief Procurement Officer.
About: Office of Finance and Administration This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).

In addition to the educational requirements, we are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as providing technical leadership, staff coordination, and consultation; researching and applying legislation, regulations, and/or policies used in contracting to plan, develop, and implement major systems contracts; and planning solicitation preparation and issuance, contract negotiation, price analysis, award, administration, and/or close-out.

In addition to the requirements above, you must have (and will be required to maintain) Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) (Professional) or Department of Defense (DoD) Contracting Professional Certification.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will: Execute cradle to grave contracting ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Serve as an authoritative Agency advisor to program officials across all aspects of the acquisition process.
Represent the Agency and establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of functional area organizations.
Serve as a technical advisor and assistant to the First-Level Supervisor on issues pertaining to acquisitions and procurement.
You will spend more than 50% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
