Summary
This job involves patrolling and securing city parks in Cape Coral, Florida, by checking facilities, preventing vandalism, handling emergencies, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for securing all city park locations, checking/monitoring facilities and filling out reports.
- This includes securing buildings and vehicles, maintaining security of grounds to prevent trespass and vandalism and interacting with local police and fire/rescue to remedy any problems that may arise.
- Included is the preparation of various documents and reports and issuing ordinance violations.
- Emergency cleaning of parks as required.
- May be required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of assigned tasks.
- Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license upon hire and obtain a valid Florida driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
- First Aid and CPR certification required within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Previous experience in environmental science; recreation or tourism management; public safety and security; forestry, or a related field.
- Knowledge of City facilities, codes, rules and regulations preferred.
