Job Description
Summary
This job involves working in a cafe at a parks and recreation facility, where you'll cook simple meals, serve food to visitors, and keep the space clean and stocked.
It's a hands-on role that requires being on your feet for long hours, often outdoors in varying weather.

Key Requirements
- Florida ServSafe certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by City)
- Food handling experience preferred
- Ability to cook, provide food service, and maintain cleanliness of facility and equipment
- Strong customer service skills, including courtesy and tact in public interactions
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, work outdoors in elements, and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
- Effective communication in English, both oral and written, to give/receive instructions
- Flexibility to perform other duties in the Parks & Recreation department as needed

Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities are cooking, providing food service to guests and maintaining cleanliness of facility and equipment, following proper procedure.
- Prepares food and equipment daily.
- Stocks inventories and supplies.
- Ability to give and receive instructions and apply consistent courtesy and tact in public contact and/or confrontational situations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and working in the elements.
- Performs other duties in the Parks & Recreation department when required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Florida ServSafe certification required within ninety (90) days of hire (provided by City).
- Food handling experience preferred.
Minimum Standards Required
Tasks are performed inside and outside, subject to weather conditions and uneven terrain. The position involves light physical demands, such as exerting up to 20 lbs.

Tasks may require prolonged periods of visual concentration and require moderate levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
