This job involves helping farmers, conservation groups, and others follow Pennsylvania's rules on managing nutrients and odors from animal waste to protect the environment.
You'll manage data, explain policies, give talks at meetings, and help enforce the laws when needed.

As a Conservation Program Specialist 1, you will be responsible for supporting various organizations and sectors in the implementation and management of several programs, including the Nutrient and Odor Management Act program, Manure Hauler and Brokers, and the Manure Management Program.
Additionally, you will have statewide accountability for data management and reporting of all nutrient management plans and odor management plans in program databases.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This position will be home headquartered if the applicant lives in Franklin, Fulton, Bedford, Somerset, Cambria, Indiana, Blair, Huntingdon, Juniata, Perry, Mifflin, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Cameron, Elk, Jefferson, Forest, Warren, McKean, Potter, Armstrong, Clarion, Venango, Tioga, Lycoming, Union, Snyder, or Cumberland County.
If the applicant does not live in one of these counties, the state vehicle will be parked in one of these counties or at the Regional Office.
