Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading the research, design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex software systems to support naval undersea missions.
You'll use modern engineering methods and agile practices to create secure, scalable solutions and advise teams on software projects.

You will serve as a computer scientist in the SOFTWARE ENGINEERING BRANCH of the DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION DIVISION in the UNDERSEA SYSTEM & SUSTAINMENT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional scientist performing research, design, development, and testing on information systems, writing test plans, and developing software.
