Are you an administrative professional prepared to take the next step in your career? The Pennsylvania Insurance Department is looking for a Compliance Officer 1 to join the Administration and Coverage Compliance Division. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for Mcare’s administration, coverage, and compliance program areas. Apply now to make your career aspirations a reality!


Requirements

In this role, you will be reviewing health care providers coverage in Mcare’s operating system to identify non-compliance as well as determining if a Declaration of Compliance, additional coverage, additional assessment, or other coverage details are needed to rectify non-compliance.

Work involves developing operating procedures, analyzing data, as well as maintaining Mcare’s Tracking Assessment Payments program.

Effective communication skills are essential are you will be handling to inquiries and serving as a communications liaison between Mcare’s coverage staff and health care providers.

You will also have the opportunity to serve as the primary account representative with access to Mcare’s Wells Fargo bank account for the purpose of identifying assessment payments submitted by insurers and producers through an electronic funds transfer (EFT).

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Addressing identified assessment remittance issues
  • Reconciling Mcare’s daily investment income analysis
  • Monitoring defense firm contracts
  • Providing coverage information to stakeholders
  • Performing the program office’s purchasing card activities
  • Creating and maintaining various system-based statistical management reports

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
