The scope of these programs encompasses a variety of services, including workforce development, community economic growth, case management, housing assistance, veteran support, food access, and other efforts aimed at alleviating poverty. Requirements

In this position, you will oversee the delivery of services to underprivileged individuals through a range of specialized programs focused on education, health, employment, welfare, and business development. As the primary policy and program specialist for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), you will coordinate program processes and fulfill all responsibilities associated with this role.

Additionally, you will provide technical assistance to grant recipients on the operation and implementation of funded initiatives, while also managing the execution of procedures and standards for statewide services within a specific community resources development program area. This includes offering specialized technical information and guidance to CSBG participants regarding the interpretation and application of relevant policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Community Resources Development Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of professional experience in a federal, state, local, or private program providing assistance to socially or economically disadvantaged persons; and a bachelor’s degree in a human services related field such as social work, social services, sociology, or psychology; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
