This role involves creating and managing communication strategies to promote the Detroit Health Department's work in public health, including developing materials, planning events, and handling social media and video content.
It supports internal teams and external audiences by producing engaging resources and ensuring projects stay on track.
A good fit would be someone with a background in public health or communications who enjoys organizing community outreach and has strong writing and digital media skills.
The Communications Specialist will support the overarching work of the organization by developing, implementing,andevaluatingcommunicationprogramstoeffectivelycommunicatethepurposeandvalue of the Detroit Health Department in the public health community.
