The Michigan Department of Treasury is seeking a dynamic Outreach Communications Analyst to join our Office of Communications team.
This role is pivotal in educating and informing stakeholders about Treasury programs and services through engaging outreach initiatives, events, and clear communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Outreach Efforts: Coordinate and present educational programs at Treasury-hosted events (in-person, virtual, and hybrid), stakeholder presentations, and trainings.
- Develop Communication Materials: Create and review educational and informational content, press releases, web content, and presentations to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research on Treasury policies, state laws, and best practices; analyze feedback and metrics to improve outreach initiatives.
- Event Planning: Organize logistics for seminars and outreach events, including venue coordination and technology setup.
- Accessibility & Inclusion: Ensure all materials meet ADA and plain language standards for diverse audiences.
- Data Tracking: Collect and evaluate customer satisfaction data and other performance metrics.

Requirements
EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience Note: Experience is considered professional if the job requires a bachelor's degree.
Departmental Analyst 9No specific type or amount is required.
Departmental Analyst 10One year of professional experience.
Departmental Analyst P11Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
