THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a COMMAND PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2420000 and is part of the PA Command Admin Office, National Guard.

1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the Command Admin Office AOC 2: Command Admin Office (This includes the State Surgeon Cell, Medical Detachment and Public Affairs Office) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes M-Day Soldiers, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) Military Grades: OFFICER O1-O5 WARRANT OFFICER WO1-CW5 ENLISTED E8-E9 Supervisor for this position is COL Marous *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration.

Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 36 months experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions.

Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations.

Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures.

Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying.

Major Duties:

As a COMMAND SUPPORT PROGRAM SPECIALIST, GS-0301-11 you will provide executive level support in planning, formulating, coordinating and implementing ARNG programs within the Command Administrative Officer's areas of functional responsibility.

Administer the State Internal Control Program and monitors implementation and execution of other state level programs as assigned.

Review, analyze and coordinate, as necessary, on a variety of recurring surveys and reports accomplished by key staff members such as USP&FO Management Analysts (Analysis and Internal Reviews), Budget Analyst (Financial and Fund Status Reports), Program Analyst (Readiness Reports, Equipment Status and Unit Reports), and Mobility Planner (Mobilization Plans and Mobility Exercise Reports).

Draft supplemental regulations, policies, guidance, publications, and comprehensive reports which may include statistical data and evaluations.

Schedule and participate in internal management evaluations and inspections of ARNG units to ensure and maintain regulatory compliance with governing directives. Perform other duties as assigned.
