This job involves running the daily operations of a club and cafe at an Air Force base, including managing staff, handling budgets, planning events, and ensuring customers are happy.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Progressively responsible clerical, office or business work experience which demonstrates the ability to manage a business activity to include overseeing planning activities, managing a budget, the sale and inventory of equipment or supplies, and providing patron services.
Must have experience in developing and working within budgetary guidelines. Must have work experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise and train subordinate staff.
Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing to internal and external customers as well as be able to brief senior leadership effectively and professionally.
Experience in providing professional customer service experience. Employment is subject to satisfactory completion of a Tier 1 Background Check.
Must be able to work on an uncommon tour of duty to include holidays, weekends and evenings. Must possess a valid state driver's license appropriate for the size and type of vehicle operated.
Incumbent is required to drive a government motor vehicle in the performance of his/her duties. Must be able to provide a copy of his/her driving record.
"This is a drug testing designated position.
The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use." You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Plans and administers daily operation of activity to include the Café. Conducts needs and interest assessments to aid in programming and activities.
Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems.
Devises, improvises and adapts entertainment activities for a wide range of participant interests and needs, meeting limits in funds, facilities, equipment and available staff.
Represents and promotes activities, events and programs. Works with the Marketing Office to develop and implement marketing plan, to include programs and calendars.
Works with the Event Coordinator to develop and implement base events, to include writing contracts and providing cost estimates.
Prepares rolling four quarters budget and analyzes and interprets financial results with supporting data .
Completes daily reports, cashier reports, financial reports, budget forecasts and daily profit and loss reports.
Reviews/conducts inventory to ensure it is accurate and ensures internal control is maintained to preclude or minimize waste/abuse.
Maintains property records, and controls security of property and supply items. Conducts surprise cash counts and maintains necessary suspense controls. Designated building custodian for assigned area.
Ensures facility is free from safety, fire, or public health discrepancies and is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Assigns work to subordinates; plans and sets work schedules as well as provides guidance and direction.
Provides feedback on employee performance and holds employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments.
Initiates personnel actions, interviews candidates and makes recommendations for selection, promotion, etc. Maintains time and attendance records and approves leave.
Ensure staff is properly trained in duties conducting formal training and OJT as required.
May perform duties associated with base community events such as Tops in Blue, Base Open House Private Organization Booth Coordinator, etc.
Required to drive government vehicles (step van, sedan, or pickup truck) in the performance of duties relating to activity operations.
Vehicle is driven between buildings to check on personnel, maintenance, supplies, vendors, transporting goods between activities, etc. May drive vehicles to downtown vendors as required.
