This job involves leading a team of administrative staff in the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance's Claims Administration Division, where you'll handle daily operations, train employees, and ensure smooth processing of claims and documents.
You'll focus on keeping workflows efficient, maintaining accurate records, and stepping in to cover tasks during busy periods.

As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will be overseeing daily operations of a claims administration clerical unit, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff performing complex clerical functions.
Work involves planning, prioritizing, and assigning work to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality output, and timely completion of tasks.
You will have the opportunity to support leadership as needed and ensure timely completion of all clerical and claims support functions.
You will also be tasked with providing comprehensive training and ongoing guidance to staff, addressing personnel matters, managing leave requests, and conducting performance reviews.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office 2 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
