Requirements

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will serve as a contact person and trouble-shooter for any questions or problems relating to the Pennsylvania Automated License System (PALS). Answers telephone to assist and provide information to the public, issuing agents, county treasurers and field personnel with questions regarding license sales, account activities, financial reporting through PALS regarding day to day issues that may arise, season and bag limits, hunting laws and regulations, and other related subjects. You will work to identify and resolve questions arising from issuing agents concerning their weekly EFT/ACH or other accounting procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • 3 year limited term full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 7:45am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    Telework is not permitted during the initial six-month probationary period; eligibility may be granted upon its successful completion.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Telework arrangements are subject to change.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
