As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will analyze requests to amend official birth records while maintaining knowledge of the myriad of allowable corrections and amendments in accordance with the Vital Statistics Law of 1953, Pennsylvania Code Title 28, select Domestic Relations statutes, and extralegal policies.
You will participate in quality assurance activities to improve processes for corrections and amendments, as well as remain vigilant for emergent patterns or trends consistent with problematic issues.
In this role, you must protect the confidentiality of vital records by ensuring sensitive information is never disclosed to unauthorized parties.
In addition, you will attend training events for identifying and responding to fraudulent requests, provide administrative support to the death registry and other vital record sections, and complete daily production reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week.
You may also be required to work onsite as dictated by operational and training needs, including a minimum two week mandatory on-site training.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
