Requirements

In this role, you will be creating and maintaining an efficient in-office filing system for all application related paperwork, ensuring no outdated copies are used in the area office, as well as notifying the appropriate District Lottery Representatives (DLR) if an incorrect form is used.

Effective communication is key as you will be addressing retailer and customer concerns as well as providing educated responses to their questions.

Work also involves reviewing claim processes with customers, assisting them with completing claim forms, and providing appropriate guidance.

You will have the opportunity to offer vital support to the Area Manager, District Lottery Supervisor(s), DLRs, and Project Team. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing retailer applications and entering required information into the lottery system
  • Maintaining a licensing application spreadsheet to track the status of applications
  • Confirming delivery of retailer bonus checks
  • Serving as the official timekeeper for varying schedules and bargaining units as well as providing technical support and guidance to employees for administering time and attendance
  • Keeping inventory of office supplies and surveying staff for their needs on a regular basis
  • Handling incoming mail
  • Scheduling training classes for new and existing retailers

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ad hoc.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Erie. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
