The PA Department of State has vacancies for Clerical Assistant 2s in its Pittsburgh Office. These positions will perform switchboard/call center duties and clerical support within the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, Board of Nursing to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will operate the Departments call center and respond appropriately to requests using appropriate communication and customer service skills. Utilizes the Departments processing system to determine application status when answering incoming calls and requests, and makes note of these calls in the system as required. Triages calls and forwards them to the appropriate area for follow-up, as well as accesses the resource account and handles all communication accordingly.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm
with a 1-hour lunch.
- Parking is provided in a secure garage.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% of the work week after completing the 6-month probationary period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
