The Public Utility Commission is seeking a dedicated Clerical Assistant 2 to complete our team of professionals.

This position serves as a receptionist for the Secretary's Bureau, giving you the opportunity to greet visitors, respond to public inquiries, and direct individuals to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

In this Clerical Assistant 2 role, you will:

  • Serve as the Receptionist for the Secretary’s Bureau and first point of contact with the public for the Commission.
  • Accept Commission filings which are hand delivered from utilities, law firms, and members of the public regarding litigation or proceedings pending before the Commission.
  • Answer all incoming calls to the Secretary’s Bureau and evaluate inquiries/requests for information.
  • Process telephone or physical requests for files.
  • Research specific case information.
  • Instruct or assist members of the public in the use of the Commission’s website.
  • Pull and refile all docketed proceedings from the Commission’s main file room.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. These hours are non-negotiable.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
