Requirements

The person in this position is responsible for providing a variety of administrative support functions to assure maximum clerical efficiency for the Bureau of Safe Drinking Water. These duties include general clerical support duties for the Bureau, and assigned duties specific to the Operator Certification Program. The individual in this position maintains the established clerical policies and procedures including prioritizing the work given to this position, interpreting information, and aiding on work assignments to ensure that operational requirements, quality, timeliness, workload and adherence to standards are met. Provides clerical support as needed to technical assistance efforts within the Training, Technical, and Financial services division.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am to 4:00pm with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
