Full Job Description

This position is located at Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS)- Texarkana. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Detailed knowledge of NAF pay and leave. Demonstrated ability to use a calculator and a personal computer.

Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess at least 1 year of payroll experience.

****Experience must be reflected clearly on resume to receive credit.**** Major Duties:

  • Responsible for the Worker's Compensation program regarding the computation of sick/annual leave buy-back for employees on workers compensation, completes corrected time and attendance forms for fund manager's signature.
  • Prepares and submits information regarding manual check charges to the servicing CAOs.
  • Reviews DA 3434s for accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidance regarding On the Spot Awards.
  • Process wire transfer requests by contacting the financial institution for wiring instructions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
