Requirements
In this position, you will take on the role of Section Chief for the Design Section within the Division of Project Development & Design at the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee a team of engineers and draftspersons who are engaged in the design and drafting of reclamation projects for abandoned mine lands (AML). This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the effective design and execution of Pennsylvania's AML Program, which focuses on the reclamation of abandoned mine sites and the mitigation of associated mine-water impacts. You will be instrumental in guiding your team to develop innovative solutions that not only address environmental concerns but also promote sustainable land use practices in the region.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate speciality and one year of experience in directing the work of civil engineers.
Special Requirement:
- Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Condition of Employment:
- This position will require possession of a valid driver's license.
