Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-13. Senior expert or supervisor.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role serves as the Chief of Staff for a military health network, handling day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and support for healthcare services across clinical and administrative areas.
It involves close collaboration with top leaders to implement policies, manage staff, and ensure smooth communication throughout the organization.
Ideal candidates are experienced managers with a strong background in healthcare operations and leadership in large-scale environments.
About the Position: This position is located in the Defense Health Network (DHN) under the policy guidance and direction of the Defense Health Network Director.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes management and execution of business activities, critical support services, and long-range strategic planning; directs planning and execution of financial processes, information management; manpower and personnel; personnel resource assignments and skill development; conduct extensive coordination of staff actions, develop policies and guidance, and provide expert staff advice; and perform supervisory responsibilities for personnel.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
