Summary

Key Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for field work
  • Supervisory experience in child welfare or related human services programs
  • Strong skills in staff mentoring, performance evaluation, and team oversight
  • Proficiency in data reporting, documentation systems (e.g., CAPSS), and ensuring compliance with privacy protocols for personal identifying information (PII)
  • Ability to engage collaboratively with families, youth, child welfare staff, and professionals

Job Duties:
  • The CFTM Facilitator Team Leader is responsible for providing supervision, support and oversight to a team of Child and Family Team (CFT) facilitators. This position ensures consistent facilitator led CFTMs are held at critical decision points to support the overall goals of Child Welfare Services.

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate CFTM Facilitators and Administrative Assistants to ensure CFTM program objectives are met. Provide regular one to one check-ins with staff. Perform on-call duties and provide support for on-call CFTM facilitators.

Oversee the day-to-day CFTM requirements of staff, including but not limited to timeliness of facilitation, completion and distribution of CFTM summary, documentation of all work into CAPSS, and prioritizing family and youth voice in the CFTM.

Utilize data reports and spreadsheets to inform practice and guide improvements.


  • Engage and work collaboratively with child welfare staff, families and other professionals to promote CFTM practice. Respond timely and professionally to constituent inquiries.

  • Participate in regional leadership meetings as requested and contribute to organizational strategy related to CFT practices and policies.

  • Participate in hiring and training of all newly assigned facilitators and administrative assistants. Complete performance and practice evaluations on direct reports as required and upon request for level ascension. Timely submit evaluations for level ascension and EPMS evaluations.

  • Ensure personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of experience in any combination of human services, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, or education.

A Master's Degree and one (1) year of experience in any combination of counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or education
