Job Duties:

The County Admin Support Specialist II performs a variety of routine and advanced clerical functions.

Exercises judgment and uses knowledge of operations, programs, and general office procedures to make independent decisions in assisting the staff and clients in front office setting.

Performs general social work duties related to the administration of the SNAP and TANF program in the Economic Services Division in the Greenwood County office to help restore or improve customer financial stability.


  • Functions as case control receptionist for all programs (SNAP, TANF, Child and Adult Welfare). Screens and registers new applications and re-certifications for economic services using SCWINS from walk-ins, mail, or online.

  • Performs job delivery and/or performance with positive or appropriate customer service delivery to clients, the public, and co-workers as an integral requirement.

  • Makes copies of supporting documentation and scans into SCOSA and rotates work according to RSW procedures. Solves procedural problems using CHIP and SCOSA.

  • Maintains front office equipment as necessary.

  • To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Participates in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter/services as directed.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

A High School Diploma and four (4) years of clerical experience.

An Associate Degree and two (2) years of responsible clerical experience.

A Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for all or part of the work requirements.
