Summary

Full Job Description

Under the supervision of the Dean, provides a wide range of complex administrative support for full-time faculty, staff, and adjunct instructors in the Division of Manufacturing and Maintenance. Schedules courses and cohorts, contacts potential students, and ensures the Training Center is compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) requirements. Oversees truck maintenance and inspections per FMCSA and SCDMV guidelines, collects and files student documents, and provides driver school certification reports to employees. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Dean.

Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for required experience.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree with one (1) year of administrative experience, or an associate's degree with three (3) years of administrative experience.

Candidate will be knowledgeable of institutional, SCDMV, and federal guidelines for contracts and documentation for full-time, adjunct, and part-time instructors.

They will demonstrate self-direction, leadership, cooperation, and initiative, working effectively with staff, deans, coordinators, and faculty across campuses.

The role requires organization, attention to detail, the ability to train others, and sound judgment in applying policies.

They must complete assignments with limited supervision, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing duties, locations, and technology.

Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, proficiency with office equipment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, including extended hours during peak periods, are essential.
