Responsibilities

  • You will perform a variety of administrative, technical, and/or clerical duties to support the Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) compliance section.
  • You will coordinate activities for the OSHA complaint process to include processing necessary forms for oral and written complaints.
  • You will maintain complaint files, confer with appropriate personnel regarding assignments, and enter information and data into the applicable database.
  • You will analyze complaint data, receive employer responses to complaints, provide information to appropriate personnel, and send correspondence to complainants containing results.
  • You will track complaints for inspection completion and responses for non-formal complaints.
  • You will answer calls concerning issues related to complaints.
  • You will be responsible for the trade secret process including logging, retention and returning materials.
  • You will perform a variety of other administrative duties including answering calls from the main line, entering inspection data, file distribution, processing mail, composing correspondence, processing documentation, and sending letters.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and four (4) years of administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, rules, regulations and program services.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to specific administrative functions.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate diverse administrative functions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Other Requirements

  • Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
  • May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.
  • May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
